Do try this at home!

The lovely people at Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre are helping us to record our species during the New Forest Bioblitz.

But what does 'recording' entail?

If you want to get involved in bioblitzing the Park or want to try it at home, the Encyclopedia of Life gives some tips.

On Monday, Botanist Dr Sandy Knapp talked about the joy of finding new species on Radio 4's Start The Week. Sandy, an expert in Solanum groups, has discovered new strains of tomato, deadly nightshade and aubergine, and named 50 of them.
