Splachnum moss
This is very very rare in the UK. It grows on fresh dung and takes a year to become fertile. Then it gives off a scent to attract flies which then carry the spores to the next fresh dung pat. Thanks to Clive Chatters of the National Park and Hampshire Wildlife Trust for the info and to Phil Budd for finding it.
