On your marks.... get set.....

The excitement is mounting as we're all set for Bioblitz mania at 3pm this afternoon when our 24-hour dash to record the New Forest's wildlife kicks off at Burley Primary School.

With an early start to the day, Ian Barker, New Forest National Park Ecologist, was interviewed on Julian Clegg's Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Solent this morning. You can listen here at 1:57:10.

And BBC South Today are scheduled to broadcast live at 1.30pm from Burley School as the pupils and experts prepare for the Bioblitz launch.

The weather forecast is perfect but don't take our word for it! You can check out the latest on our weather station at Buckler's Hard, or take a peak from your computer via our webcams at Balmer Lawn in Brockenhurst or Buckler's Hard.

We look forward to seeing you at our Bioblitz events later today and all day tomorrow but if you can't join us, keep checking the blog for updates.
